1968年の創業から 現在に至るまで「靴下業界の先駆者たれ」
という決意のもと、靴下に関わる事柄は全て研究し続けている
”Tabio”が50年以上積み重ねてきた貴重なアーカイブを
渋谷スクランブルスクエアで展開したPOPUP STORE。
単管パイプでゲリラ的に構成した壁一面と、ストックが詰まった
輸送木箱の上には、Tabioらしい多種多様なの商品が並び
秘蔵の保管庫を閲覧しているかのよう。
今まで生み出されたスペシャルなコラボレーションアイテムたちは
高透過アクリル板にはさみ、木工用クランプで構成した
”靴下の標本”になっている。
細部まで拘り形になったアイテムたちが一同に見ることができる
POPUP STOREならではのギャラリーのような展示。
Since its founding in 1968, Tabio has been researching everything
related to socks with the determination to be a pioneer in the sock industry.
They have opened a pop-up store in Shibuya Scramble Square displaying
the valuable archives they have accumulated over the past 50 years.
One wall is constructed in a guerrilla style using single-pipe construction,
and on top of the wooden transport crates filled with stock, a wide variety
of Tabio-like products are lined up, giving the impression of browsing
a treasured storage facility.
The special collaboration items created to date have been sandwiched
between highly transparent acrylic and assembled with woodworking
clamps to create "sock specimens." This gallery-like display, unique
to the POPUP STORE, allows visitors to see all of the items, each crafted
with meticulous attention to detail, all together in one place.
